OUR MISSION
Driven by the Biblical mandate to make Christ known, we advocate for, share with and serve “the least of these” in rural Appalachia.
Doing what he did
Vision Appalachia provides ministries for children and the youth in central West Virginia.
We fundraise each year in order to develop mentoring programs, create community resources, provide mission weeks and sports camps, donate school supplies and put on school assemblies for the children and youth in West Virginia. These activities are meant to bring spiritual, physical and educational relief to the communities in which they live.
THE ROAD AHEAD
It is our aim in 2024 to share the love of Christ by completing important building projects for people with urgent needs and to keep the food pantry for the community stocked year-round.
Vision Appalachia’s timely vision and mission is to form work teams of 4-6 individuals who are equipped to oversee and contribute to the essential needs of the central West Virginia communities. Areas that will be supported include Clay, Kanawha, Braxton, Roane and Nicholas counties.
Rev. Jesse Boggs, co-founder of Vision Appalachia, will be working with local pastors and community leaders to develop the necessary groups needed to fulfill this specific calling.
